UBEC - BEC for EDF jets and planes using more then 3S LiPos or independent LiPo receiver power supply.
A must for all pilots flying LiPo packs with more then 3S (standard ESC can only cater up to 3S LiPos and have a limited load capability measured in the amount of servos used).
The UBEC allows the usage of 2-6S LiPo packs to be used as receiver power supply for electric AND nitro/gas planes. The ability of the UBEC to supply either 5V or 6V to receiver and servos allows the UBEC to be used in various RC applications. Benefits of the switch-mode UBEC include a higher efficiency (92%) in comparison to the traditional linear UBEC which, when used with more the 3S, will convert excess energy into heat.
