T-45 Goshawk

Another SAPAC T-45 Goshawk owned by Mike.sapac t-45 flaps down
Mike flies his T-45 with the following configuration:

  • HET Drive Set 2W-20 72A
    • HET 2W-20 Motor
    • HET 6904 Fan
    • HET 72A ESC
  • Hyperion G3 4200 4S 35C Lipo
  • MAP Air retracts

Operational History of the real plane:
The T-45 has been used for intermediate and advanced portions of the Navy/Marine Corps strike pilot training program with Training Air Wing ONE at Naval Air Station Meridian, Mississippi and Training Air Wing TWO at Naval Air Station Kingsville, Texas. The T-45 replaced the T-2C Buckeye trainer and the TA-4J Skyhawk II trainer with an integrated training system that includes the T-45 Goshawk aircraft, operational and instrument flight simulators (OFT/IFT), academics, and training integration system support. In 2008, the T-45 began operation in the advanced portion of Navy/Marine Corps Naval Flight Officer (NFO) training with Training Air Wing SIX at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida.

The T-45’s A and C models are currently in operational use. The T-45A, which became operational in 1991, contains an analog cockpit design while the newer T-45C, which was first delivered in December 1997, features a new digital "glass cockpit" design. All T-45A aircraft will eventually be converted to a T-45C configuration under the T-45 Required Avionics Modernization Program (T-45 RAMP).

F4D Skyray

small

One of the early EDF ARF Kits.
Our HET-RC A4D Skyray was equipped with a WeMoTec Mini Fan 480, HET-RC 2W Motor, 60A ESC and was powered by a 3300mAh 3s lipo.

With a current draw of around 55A flight times where rather limite d.
The plane unfortunately crashed during launch when the bungee did not disconnect (the hook came loose and turned itself around preventing the ring on the bungee from dropping out).
Since then all bungee hooks are cut as short as possible to prevent this from happening again.

Some info on the real plane:
The American Douglas F4D Skyray (later redesignated F-6 Skyray) was a carrier-based fighter/interceptor built by the Douglas Aircraft Company. Although it was in service for a relatively short time and never entered combat, it was notable for being the first carrier-launched aircraft to hold the world’s absolute speed record and was the first United States Navy and United States Marine Corps fighter capable of exceeding Mach 1 in level flight. It would be the last fighter produced by the Douglas Aircraft Company.

Lippisch P.20

P1010152_resize

This was one of our first EDF Jets
in our portfolio.

The RBCKits Lip-20 is a EDF Jet for 70mm Fan units such as the
WeMoTec Mini Fan.
The models comes in kit form, features a fiberglass fuselage and fully sheeted rib wings.

The plane on the picture is equipped with a WeMoTec Mini Fan 480,  HET 3W motor, 40A ESC and is powered by a 3300mAh 4S Lipo battery.

Some info on the real plane:
The Lippisch P.20 jet fighter project (April 16, 1943) was a further development of the Me 163 "Komet", and was the final design of Dr.  Alexander Lippisch for the Messerschmitt company before the development department disbanded in late April 1943. The P.20 was similar in appearance to the Me 163, with an air intake mounted low in the nose which fed a single Jumo 004 turbojet. Armament was to be two MK 108 30mm cannon mounted in the forward fuselage sides and two MK 103 30mm cannon mounted in the wing roots.
